Tournaments begin at 10.00am will welcoming speech from tournament organiser, Jason Barry, captain of the Estonian Cricket team.


 

Ice Cricket Tournament Information

  • The number of ice pitches is determined by the number of teams and groups.
  • The tournament structure depends on exactly how many teams that we have participating.
  • For example if we have 12 teams we will four groups of three teams.
  • The matches are Six-a-Side but roll on and roll off substitutes are allowed.
  • 6 overs are bowled by six different players. The bowlers who bowl must be the players that also bat. Substitute fielders are permitted.
  • Every run run counts as double.
  • Every wide counts as 3 runs. No extra ball
  • No balls count as 3 extra runs with no extra ball.
  • Matches tend to last around 50 minutes.
  • Only one pad, the front pad, needs to be worn. The ball used is a Readers Windball, plastic practice indoor cricket ball.
  • 4's and 6's can be scored and local rules dictate that should you hit a moose or a cross country skier an additional 6 runs is scored!
  • One umpire is used and he or she will keep the score via the scoresheet given out at the start of the game by the tournament organiser.
  • During the competition the non semi finalists will be drawn in a Plate Competition.
  • All teams that take part in the first game must toast the wicket by taking a vodka shot.
  • Sauna and ice plunge pool is available should it be required. Bar and outdoor food tent is also provided, as well as fires to warm yourself by.
  • Prize ceremony is in the selected Tallinn restaurant. Ceremony will include Man of the Match awards, specific fines, as well as certificate presentation.
